An applicant with special needs is anyone interested in studying at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague who also requires adjustments in the admissions process due to their disability or disadvantage, as evidenced by a valid document. These adjustments are not intended to give an advantage in the admissions process but rather to create equal opportunities for all applicants.
Our recommendations for choosing a study programme
- Choose your field carefully - Consider not only your interests but also your strengths when selecting a study programme.
- Explore your options - Visit the faculty’s website and the specific study programme, including course descriptions and syllabi. Pay particular attention to the requirements necessary to complete the courses and the programme.
- Attend an open day - Come visit the faculty, meet the lecturers, and ask about everything that interests you regarding the study.
- Consult with experts from our Centre - If you are unsure whether a particular study programme is suitable for you or if you need additional information, schedule a meeting with our specialists in the field of specific needs (e-mail: podporasssp@czu.cz) or career counselling.
How to arrange a modified admission procedure?
- Application to study - In the application, it is necessary to check the box “Applicant with Special Study Needs.”
- Documents - Prepare a confirmation or medical report stating why you are requesting a modified exam. A list of recognisable documents can be found below. Submit these documents only to the staff of our Office for Students with SN; do not send them to the faculty.
- Consultation - Choose a consultation date in our booking system or contact us via email at podporasssp@czu.cz. The possible modifications to the admissions process will be discussed during the consultation. If you cannot attend in person, you can consult online via MS Teams.
What to watch out for?
- It is necessary to start arranging the modified admissions process in time - the faculties need enough time to prepare and ensure all necessary adjustments. Therefore, it is important to contact us promptly, ideally immediately after submitting the application to study, but no later than 2 months before the admission exam date.
- To arrange the modification of the admission process, you must have an official report from our Office; it is not enough to just send a medical or other certificate to the faculty.
- Always check the faculty's website to see if they have additional or slightly different conditions for the admission process, as the instructions may vary slightly between faculties. In case of any ambiguities, you can contact our Office.
